A serious incident took place in Bucharest, on Strada Liviu Rebreanu, at a supermarket, where a portion of the ceiling, approximately 2 square meters, collapsed on a 70-year-old woman.
The victim, conscious at the time of the intervention, was taken by a medical team and transported to the Pantelimon Hospital, with minor injuries.
The incident caused the evacuation of the other 10 people present in the store, which was later closed.
Two fire trucks and a medical team attended the scene.
“On March 28, 2024, the Capital Police – Police Department 12 was notified, by call 112, regarding the fact that, in a supermarket located in Sector 3, a fragment of plaster broke off, thus hitting a woman, in while inside the store.
A crew from the subunit moved to the scene, as well as a first-aid crew, and the woman was transported to the hospital for additional medical care.
The investigations are carried out by police officers from the 12th Police Department, in order to establish the factual situation and take legal measures,” the Capital Police announced in a press release.
