Emma Hayes has made one change to her Chelsea side for this evening’s Champions League semi-final second leg at a sold-out Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are 90 minutes away from sealing their place in the final in Bilbao and hold a one-goal advantage from the first leg courtesy of Erin Cuthbert’s fine strike last weekend in Catalonia.
Hayes has been forced into a change with Mayra Ramirez unavailable – and has opted to move away from the back-three system she deployed last Saturday in Barcelona.
Hannah Hampton keeps her place in the Chelsea goal and will now be protected by a back four consisting of Ashley Lawrence, Jess Carter, Kadeisha Buchanan and captain Niamh Charles.
Cuthbert starts in the midfield alongside Melanie Leupolz while Sjoeke Nusken will push up to support the forward line.
That consists of Johanna Rytting Kaneryd on the right and Lauren James on the left. With no Ramirez – who is not in the matchday squad – Hayes has opted to select Catarina Macario
