A 20-year-old woman and a 17-year-old teenager, involved two weeks ago in a serious road accident, within the radius of Pădureni commune, were detained by the police after it was established that the minor was the one who allegedly drove car.
Following the investigations, the policemen concluded that the young woman who was initially believed to be behind the wheel of the car, would have entrusted the vehicle to the 17-year-old boy, in the file being investigated for driving a vehicle without a driver’s license, under the aspect of entrusting a vehicle for which the law stipulates the obligation to hold a driver’s license for driving on public roads for a person who knows that he does not have a driver’s license and favoring the perpetrator, respectively driving a vehicle without a driver’s license and causing bodily injury due to negligence.
As a result of the road accident, five people who were traveling in a car, aged between 17 and 20 years old, all from the municipality of Huşi, were injured, who were transported to the Huşi Municipal Hospital, for evaluation and medical care. During the on-site investigation, the investigated young woman stated, contrary to reality, that she was driving the car at the time of the road accident. Following the investigations carried out in the case, the traffic police established that the young woman had entrusted the investigated minor with the car involved in the road accident, to be driven, both at the time of the road accident and before, on the night of March 15 to 16, 2024 , in different time intervals, while the young woman would have traveled in the car, as a passenger, on the right front seat. As for the 17-year-old minor, it was established that, on the night of March 15 to 16, 2024, in different time intervals, he would have driven a car on the public roads of Pădureni commune’, stated the representatives of the County Police Inspectorate Boats.
The two are to be presented to the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Huşi Court, for the ordering of preventive measures.
