UPDATE 1. Luana Alexandra Radu: “We are innocent. It’s a file made from abroad”

Luana Alexandra Radu was brought by a police escort to the cemetery in Sector 2, where her grandfather will be buried.

After getting out of the police van, the former agent from Section 7 claimed to journalists that she is innocent and that the DIICOT file “is fabricated”.

“We are innocent. It’s a completely fabricated file from abroad,” she said, on her way to the chapel where her grandfather was.

She will be able to stay for about two hours at her grandfather’s funeral ceremony.

The ex-policewoman ordered a wreath, on which is written the message: “I will never forget you. Your niece, Luana”.

What fortune did the woman accused of helping brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate sexually exploit their victims have before she resigned from the Police. Luana had the first rank of officer

The ex-policewoman from the 7th Section in Bucharest, pre-arrested alongside the brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate, in the case of human trafficking and rape, quickly left the structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI), but her last wealth declaration shows what her financial situation was before to enter the service of the two.

After graduating from the Police Academy, Luana Alexandra Radu received the rank of sub-inspector (the lowest officer rank) and was sent, as the procedure says, to gain experience on the streets, as a public order policeman.

As a civil servant, she was obliged to complete, annually, a statement of assets, in which she should mention the amounts received in the previous year, the real estate and cars owned, the amounts deposited in the bank, but also any loans.

The last declaration of assets signed by Luana Alexandra Radu dates from 2014, when she worked at the 7th Police Department and was still a sub-inspector, which means that she quickly gave up her police officer uniform.

According to the declaration of wealth, at the time the woman owned nothing. No money in the bank, no cars, no house, no urban or agricultural land. He had no debts either. The amount of 1,900 lei is added to the money collected from the tip, a sign that in 2013 he managed to get only one salary.

Nine years after this last rookie police salary, Luana Alexandra Radu, also known as Ellie Dely, poses in exclusive locations in New York and wears only clothes bearing the labels of luxury brands.

Suspected of helping the Tate brothers sexually exploit other women

According to DIICOT, the ex-policewoman is suspected that, after a period in which she would have worked in the video chat studio, she would have become one of the key people of brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate, whom she would have helped to sexually exploit other women, recruited by her bosses by the “loverboy” method.

Britons Andrew and Tristan Tate, a former policewoman from Section 7 and another Romanian woman were detained by DIICOT prosecutors on December 29, following searches. The next day, the Bucharest Court decided that all four should be remanded in custody for 30 days.

After the court’s decision, brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate, as well as the two Romanians, were taken to the Capital Police Detention Center.

12 days later, on January 10, they requested their release, contesting the measure of preventive detention, but their request was definitively rejected by the Bucharest Court of Appeal.

DIICOT prosecutors have identified six victims

Andrew and Tristan Tate are suspected that, together with the former police officer from Section 7 in Bucharest and another Romanian woman, “constituted a criminal group organized in order to commit crimes on the territory of Romania, but also of other countries, such as the United States of America and the Great Great Britain, of the crime of human trafficking”.

Investigators have revealed that six victims have been identified so far, all recruited through the loverboy method.

“They were later transported and housed in buildings in Ilfov county where, by exercising acts of physical violence and mental coercion (through intimidation, constant surveillance, control and invoking alleged debts), they were sexually exploited by the group members by forcing them to pornographic manifestations with a view to the production and dissemination through social media platforms of material having such a character and by submitting to the execution of a work, in a forced manner, in order to obtain important financial benefits consisting of the sums of money obtained as a result of accessing the materials by users”, announced DIICOT.
