Silent Hill 2 Remake is in its final stages. The creators mention the release date and platforms

Team Director Bloober talked about the current state of Silent Hill 2 Remake. The release date will be revealed soon.

We are still waiting for the next show of the upcoming remake of the cult production. The final gameplay of Silent Hill 2 Remake wasn’t all that amazing. The Bloober team has released their annual report, from which we can learn something interesting. Piotr Babieno – head of the Bloober team – commented on the work on Konami’s remake of the game.

We are in the final stages of development for Silent Hill 2. We expect the release date and platforms the game will appear on to be revealed soon.

Mr. Babineau has already announced that the current state of the game is significantly different from what we saw in the last trailer. The material had to come directly from Konami, who had a very old version of the game. So we can expect the title to be of a much better quality than what was shown at the end of January in State of Play.

The head of the Polish company also confirms that the game is about to end. The team is likely now working on final touches such as optimization and bug fixes. The Bloober team has already reported that Konami is handling the marketing, so we’ll have to wait for the Japanese to make a move. While we don’t know when the premiere date will be announced, there’s a good chance it will happen at one of the shows in June or July. Sony certainly has a lot of games to show off, so perhaps SH 2 Remake will make an appearance at the PlayStation maker’s event.

Interestingly, Piotr Babineau also mentioned the detection of targeted platforms. Silent Hill 2 Remake is currently known to be coming to PlayStation 5 and PC. Are changes planned in this regard? We don’t know that, maybe it will just be a confirmation of the platforms we already know.
