The policemen of the Constanta Organized Crime Brigade, together with DIICOT Constanta prosecutors, documented, on Sunday, the criminal activity of two people, a woman of foreign citizenship and a Romanian citizen, suspected of committing high-risk and high-risk drug trafficking crimes and carrying out , without right, of operations with products likely to have psychoactive effects. The two were detained, because they had on them different amounts of MDMA, ketamine and other substances classified as high-risk drugs, while they were at the “Sumwaves” music festival, which takes place from May 1 to 7 in the Mamaia resort , reports News.ro.

“Thus, on May 5, the two were detained following two successive actions, at the entrance, respectively within the venue of a music festival in the Mamaia resort. The two people were caught while possessing for sale different amounts of MDMA (high risk drug), crystalline substance 4 – CMC (high risk drug), ketamine (risk drug) and 2 – MMC (psychoactive substance) . On May 6, the judge of rights and liberties of the Constanţa Court was notified with the proposal of preventive arrest, for a period of 30 days”, according to the press release of the Constanţa County Police Inspectorate.

The actions benefited from the support of the gendarmes from the Constanța Mobile Gendarmerie Group, the cited source also says. The representatives of IPJ Constanţa also specify that, throughout the entire criminal process, the investigated persons benefit from the procedural rights and guarantees provided by the Code of Criminal Procedure, as well as benefit of the doubt.

The 32nd edition of the “Sunwaves” festival takes place between May 1 and 7, in Mamaia Nord.
