I saw the new Samsung S95D OLED TV at work, with anti-reflection protection and a 11.1.4 soundbar (Video)

Samsung brought to Romania on April 22 its newest televisions, models Neo QLED 4K and 8Kbut also a S95D OLED TV with anti-reflection panel. I also saw the Samsung Music Frame there, a box-painting, but about that in a separate material. Here it’s about the OLED, but also about the soundbar immediately below it in the video, the only model with 11.1.4 acoustics in the world.

Samsung S95D OLED

This OLED TV has two things in particular: anti-glare (anti-reflection) protection, which saves you from the moments when you see yourself reflected in the screen walking through the living room, and which comes with 20 neural networks, for AI. It also comes with True Dolby Atmos acoustics, for immersive sound and has very narrow edges.

It also reduces light reflections, which is useful for bright living rooms. The advanced AI chip with 20 neural networks helps in upscaling, but also in obtaining a good-looking 4K image. The black tones are deep, as befits an OLED, and we get very vivid colors, in a wide palette. The Active Voice Amplifier Pro function amplifies voices with the help of AI, so that you can hear dialogue more clearly in games and movies.

The TV is available in 55-inch, 65-inch and 77-inch versions. It also has a remote control in the package, which can be charged from the sun, from the light from the interior and even from Wi-Fi. The S95D is very thin, because the components have been outsourced to that “console”, which looks like a kind of PlayStation Slim and sits next to the TV. Supports gaming in 4K at 144 Hz via HDMI 2.1.

Sound bar HW-Q990D

Under the TV, in the same room, I came across an impressive soundbar, Samsung Q990D, which has two key attributes: it is the first 11.1.4 model on the market and comes with the great plus of HDMI 2.1 support. It has 4K/120 passthrough and is perfect for immersion. Support Dolby Atmos and has the most generous distribution of channels, at 11.1.4.

The sound will also be emitted upwards, but there is also a way to use only the rear speakers if you don’t want to wake up someone in the same house or room. It supports Bixby, Alexa, Google Assistant, Chromecast and AirPlay. The total power is huge, 656W, more than 99% of consumers need. The sound will be calibrated according to your room, through the SpaceFit Sound Pro analysis system.

Through Q Symphony you can synchronize the TV and the soundbar for a perfect playback of movies. It will be completed with the TV speakers and other soundbars of the company. The sound seemed excellently spread out in the test room, as if it was coming from a multitude of directions.
