Where a former businessman who invested in Gorj spent his first Easter

Last year was quite difficult for Irinel Columbeanu. In addition to losing his entire fortune, he also faced some pretty serious health problems. Left alone and helpless, at the end of 2023, Irinel Columbeanu moved to a nursing home in Ghermanesti.

Since then, the one who took care of the former millionaire and was by his side is Ion Cassian, the patron of the asylum, but also a good friend. He is also the one who now seated Irinel Columbeanu at the Easter table.

Irinel Columbeanu was very pleased with the invitation he received and gladly participated in the celebration meal. He enjoyed the traditional dishes and sat for stories with his friend. Although he had a great time, the former millionaire confessed that his thoughts are still on the summer days, when his greatest wish will come true, and his daughter will come to visit him.

“I spent Easter with my “family”, because I like to think so, with Mr. Ion Cassian, with whom I have a long friendship and who helped me in the hardest moments. He invited me to his house with his family and we all sat at the table.

What can I say, it was an excellent Easter afternoon here at the senior center where I am. In the summer I’m waiting for Irina to come from the States and I can’t tell you what emotions I have, I haven’t seen her physically since 2018. I wish you all a happy Easter and lots of light in your homes”, declared Irinel Columbeanu.
