Xiaomi MIX Flip has several features revealed; We learn details about the hardware of the first foldable clamshell phone in the company’s portfolio

I have written about Xiaomi MIX Flip recently. In fact, leaks and rumors related to this phone have been circulating on the web for about two years, but in 2024 it seems that the terminal will actually debut. It would be the first foldable smartphone from the Xiaomi portfolio, it is known internally under the code name “slang” and is rumored to arrive in Europe this year. Well, today new details about this phone appeared on the web.

According to GSMChina, Xiaomi MIX Flip will arrive with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor under the hood. At the back we will find a dual photo setup involving a horizontal photo module, in the style of the one integrated on the Pixel phones. Under this module there is also a smaller display than in the case of a Galaxy Z Flip5 or Motorola RAZR 40 Ultra.

At the back would be a sensor camera Light Hunter 800 aka ovx8000. It’s a sensor based on Omnivision OV50E, of 50 MP, with a size of 1/1.55 ​​inch. The same sensor was also used in the past for the Redmi K70 Pro. The auxiliary sensor would be a 60 MP Omnivision OV60A, which offers 0.61 micron pixels and is 1/2.8 inch in size. It is used in the case of Motorola Edge 40 Pro / Edge 30 Ultra phones as a selfie sensor.

As a selfie camera, we will receive a 32 MP OV32B sensor, the one also integrated on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. It is rumored that the phone will bring a main display with 1.5K resolution and an increased refresh rate. At the moment other information is not known, but it seems that the phone will be aimed at the female audience.

It is possible to see colored cases with different textures, being presented as a “fashion phone” similar to the models in the Xiaomi CIVI range.
