On Sunday night, without his game necessarily shining, Ronnie took another step towards a long-awaited qualification for the WC Snooker quarter-finals.

World leader O’Sullivan had a few misses that left him deeply displeased, but even Ryan Day couldn’t make the most of them. In these conditions, “The Rocket” entered the booths with a four-frame lead (10-6) and is the favorite ahead of Monday’s decisive session.

The same score (10-6) is recorded in the duel between Karen Wilson (12th in the world) and Joe O’Connor (30th in the world).

In the tightest match of the round of 16, John Higgins (four times world champion) is leading 9-7 before the decisive session by Mark Allen (world 3).

Higgins led at one point with 7-5, but at the end of the session he did not rise to the level of expectations: he lost the last four consecutive frames, and Allen unexpectedly ended the day in the lead (9-7).

Finally, the table also shows the same score (9-7) in the match between Stuart Bingham (29th in the world) and Jack Lisowski (17th in the world).

Except for the opening match (when Lisowski was ahead, score 2-0), Bingham was one step ahead of the opponent. He ended the day ahead (two frames ahead) and is seen as the favorite to win.

All the above matches are played on the best of 25 frames system, i.e. first to 13.
