Jaqueline Cristian, ranked 73 WTA, qualified, on Friday, in the third round of the WTA 1000 category tournament Mutua Madrid Open.
Cristian passed in the second round the favorite 22, the Czech sportswoman Barbora Krejcikova (27 WTA), score 2-6, 6-0, 6-2, in two hours and six minutes.
In the next phase, the Romanian will meet the winner of the match between Danielle Collins (USA, 15 WTA and seed 13) and Olga Danilovic (Serbia, 122 WTA).
By qualifying in the third round, Jaqueline Cristian secured a prize of 51,665 euros and 65 points.
