A man was detained by the police in Olt, after he entered the home of a 40-year-old woman, threatened her and then raped her.
The representatives of the Olt County Police Inspectorate announced on Tuesday that a man is being investigated for committing the crimes of aggravated rape and aggravated robbery.
“On May 6, the police officers of the Rural Police Department no. 3 Corabia were alerted, by calling 112, by a 40-year-old woman from Orlea commune, Olt county, regarding the fact that she was the victim of the crime of rape. From the first checks, the police established the fact that a 39-year-old man from Orlea commune, taking advantage of the victim’s state of vulnerability, would have illegally entered the yard of a 40-year-old woman’s residence, from the same locality, and by using of threats and acts of violence would have led the woman to one of the rooms of the house, where he would have had sexual relations with her against her will. Also, the man allegedly stole 1,350 lei from the woman,” the police said.
The man was detained for 24 hours, being placed in the Detention and Preventive Arrest Center of the Olt County Police Inspectorate.
