MediaTek has just launched a new flagship chipset viz Dimensity 9300+. Well, soon to debut the Reno12 series of high midrange phones from OPPO, and according to rumors, the terminals would receive a new generation chipset from MediaTek. The Digital Chat Station tipster provided more details which we find in the lines that follow.
The OPPO Reno12 series is expected to arrive in China in the coming weeks. Some time ago it was believed that the basic variant in the lineup would not be much different from its predecessor. However, here the tipster DCS reveals that under the hood of the terminal we should receive a new generation MediaTek chipset.
It would be about a Dimensity 8250, more precisely, the CPU that will bring “Star Speed Engine” technology. This means that we are talking about a processor capable enough even for gaming or more demanding tasks, which will bring minimal thermal throttling.
About the chipset we also learn that it is an octa-core type and will receive a main core clocked at 3.1GHz, 3 Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 3GHz, but also 4 Cortex-A55 cores for energy efficiency. We also learn that a Mali-G610 GPU will be used.
OPPO Reno12 Pro is rumored to arrive with a processor Dimensity 9200+, so we are already talking about a flagship performance. The release of the new series takes place in the next days / weeks, so we don’t have long to wait until we know the full details.
