Local policemen from Sibiu are protesting in Bucharest. “On May 8 we picket the Government”

Local policemen from all over the country are protesting in front of the Government on Wednesday. Agents from Sibiu will also take part in the demonstration.

Several agents from the Sibiu Local Police, members of the National Federation of United Trade Unions from the Local Police Romania, affiliated to the National Trade Union Bloc, will protest on May 8, between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., in front of the Government of Romania.

“On May 8 we picket the Government of Romania! Come with us! Come with the National Federation of United Trade Unions from the Local Police Romania!!! Together we are strong!!!”, is the announcement of the Union of Local Policemen from Sibiu.

The local police sent the list of demands, as follows:

  1. The application of the working conditions, provided by the Local Police Law no. 155/2010, for local police officers;
  2. Granting the values ​​of the mandatory food standards for local police personnel according to MDPLA Order no. 893/2023, OG No. 26/1994 and HG no. 1474/2009;
  3. Granting financial compensation to local police personnel, for work performed on weekends and public holidays;
  4. Modification of the provisions of GEO no. 63/2010, in the sense of replacing the phrase 1 post/1000 inhabitants/ with 1 local police officer/1000 inhabitants.
