Andrei Prepelita’s conclusions after Corvinul

Gloria Buzău achieved its goal in the first stage of the League 2 play-off, with the point won in Hunedoara, on the field of a strong team at home, which will make life difficult for the direct opponents of the team from Parcul Crâng, CS Mioveni and FK Miercurea Ciuc, in the fight for a direct promotion place in the SuperLigă.

It was a balanced game and we had our chances. There was an inaccuracy on that misjudged long ball, lack of communication and we conceded a goal, but after that the team reacted well. Honestly, I tried a system with five defenders to not risk too much in the first part of the match, due to fatigue. We did this at Reșița, we spread all over the field, conceded two goals and then it was difficult for us to come back. Buzăul will also play away in the second stage of the League 2 play-off, but a little closer to home, in Mioveni. The match is scheduled exactly one week from now, on April 4, at 5:00 p.m., and the team’s goal is clear: direct promotion to the SuperLiga.

The other two games in the first stage of the play-off take place on Saturday (11:00, Unirea Slobozia – CS Mioveni) and Monday (17:30, FK Miercurea Ciuc – CSC Șelimbăr).

Gloria Buzău has 35 points and, at the moment, is in 4th place, the second directly eligible for promotion, given that two teams in front of it, CSC Şelimbăr and Corvinul, do not have the right to be promoted. Gloria can be overtaken or equaled by CS Mioveni (33 points), respectively FK Miercurea Ciuc (32 points), depending on the results obtained by them in the first stage.
