Zelensky says Putin’s plans: “Prepare a major offensive.” Which countries are to be attacked by the Russians if Ukraine does not resist

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with CBS News that the Russians are preparing a major offensive “at the end of May or June.” He said that without the help of allies, Ukraine is not ready to defend itself, warning that if his country does not resist, Kazakhstan will be next, then the Baltic states, Poland and Germany – “at least half of Germany”.

“We need help now,” says the Ukrainian leader, in an interview given to CBS News from the Sumy region.

Zelenski says a major Russian offensive is expected in late May or June. He appreciated the effort of his army which managed to stop the Russian offensive during the winter months and “stabilize the situation”.

However, Ukraine is not ready to defend itself against another major offensive.

“Usually when they attack with artillery and destroy villages, after that they always try to occupy them. We don’t know what will happen tomorrow. That’s why we have to prepare,” Zelenskiy said.

The president said that if Ukraine did not hold out, Kazakhstan would be next, then the Baltic states, Poland and Germany – “at least half of Germany”.

Therefore, Zelensky called on Western partners to provide Ukraine with more Patriot missile systems and artillery.

“Let’s be honest, the money that Congress approves, the administration, in most cases, 80 percent of that money stays in the United States. Those munitions come to us, but the manufacturing happens there, and the money stays in the U.S., and the taxes stay in the U.S.,” he said.

Zelensky also said that the war in Gaza has reduced attention to the war in Ukraine, and Putin is actively using it. However, this is not the dictator’s only tool. According to him, Putin is using the terrorist attack in Moscow to justify his attacks in Ukraine.
