  • Samsung launched in Romania the new series of mid-range phones, Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55.
  • The two devices have strong rivals in the segment: Google Pixel 7a, Nothing Phone 2 or Redmi Note 13 Pro.
  • Unlike the flagship series, the Galaxy S24, the new devices have fewer AI functions

The most competitive segment on the phone market has been enriched with two new devices. Samsung launched the new Galaxy A series in Romania, one that competes with devices such as Google Pixel 7a, Nothing Phone 2 or Redmi Note 13 Pro. Samsung is betting on two new phones, the A35 and the A55, the first to come with Knox Vault, the information encryption system present so far only on top phones.

“For content creators we have a number of features to play with and create impressive content for others, and for others: they have the big screens, brightness, Vision Booster, adaptive refresh rate. In addition the A55 has a metal frame now. New, and I mean both models, there is front-back Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ which makes the products more durable. They are resistant to water and dust, because the holidays will still come.” said Alin Pătrașcanu, Samsung trainer, for Aleph News.

If at the time of the launch of the Galaxy S24 flagship, the watchword was AI, the same cannot be said about the new mid-range devices. That doesn’t mean they won’t benefit from AI features at all.

“The A-series will not take over all those functions that our flagships have. On the other hand, in the gallery we can improve the content through a lot of AI functions that will make the content look much better. The two A-series models now shoot in 4K UHD, but that’s not the biggest benefit, but the fact that footage is shot in SuperHDR”he added.
