Traditions, folklore and authentic gastronomy at “GospodarEşti” – Târg la Miceşti

Do you want to spend a weekend in authentic Argeşe style, where you can enjoy the beautiful folk songs and dances born on the lands of the county and where you can discover the delicious traditional products invented by the tireless mind of the Argeşe householder? We offer you as a weekend destination an event organized for the first time – “GospodarEşti” – Fair in Micesti.

The town of Miceşti dresses up for the holiday on Sunday, May 12. Starting at 1 p.m., the residents of Arges are expected at the Vulcanizare – Service Oprescu location, just ten minutes by car from Pitesti, on Calea Câmpulung no. 74C (on the left side of DN 73), where “GospodarEşti” takes place, an event aimed at attracting the citizens of Micești and the surrounding area to get to know local producers and purchase traditional, tasty and healthy products.

The first edition of the event will focus on the products made with effort by the households of Miceşti commune – local producers, craftsmen and artisans. Guests will enjoy a real gastronomic feast, with cheeses, pastrami and charcuterie prepared according to recipes handed down from grandparents, traditional jams or desserts, zaskuska, pickles, bakery products and homemade pastries, all sprinkled with liqueurs for all ages and for all tastes, from natural juices to wine and brandy.

Visitors will have the opportunity to discover at the stands ancient occupations of the villages of Micesti, which the locals keep with sanctity in the dowry chest of traditions, and they will be able to purchase products made with skill and effort by local craftsmen, artisans and entrepreneurs.

For the little ones, the organizers have prepared numerous surprises. Thus, within the fair there will be an entertainment area for children, with inflatable slides, cotton wool on a stick, ice cream cones and more.

The country party atmosphere will be maintained throughout the day by local ensembles, choirs and soloists and, in addition, the participants of the Miceşti Householders’ Fair will be able to listen to the extraordinary recital of one of the most beloved stars of Romanian folk song, the well-known performer Ionuţ Dolănescu. Also, violinist Virgil Iordache and numerous other talented local and county soloists joined the households of Micești for the traditional fair to be held on Sunday, May 12.
