Hydrologists have issued a new Code Orange flood warning valid on Wednesday, until midnight, on small rivers in the Crisul Pietros hydrographic basin, in Bihor county, reports Agerpres.

According to the National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (INHGA), as a result of the rainfall recorded in the last few hours, the forecasted rainfall and the propagation, significant leaks may occur on slopes, torrents, streams, rapid floods on small rivers with possible severe effects of local floods and important increases in flow rates and levels with possible exceedances of the flood quotas on the small rivers in the Crișul Pietros hydrographic basin (tributary of the Crișul Negru river) – the tributaries related to the downstream sector of SH Pietroasa, Bihor county.

The phenomena can occur with greater probability on the tributaries related to the downstream sector of the confluence with the Inaru river.

At the same time, Yellow Code flood warnings were issued, valid until 24:00, on the rivers in the Desnăţui hydrographic basins – the tributaries related to the Ac downstream sector. Fântânele and Jiu – tributaries related to the downstream sector of SH Podari, in Dolj county, Bega – upstream basin of SH Făget and tributaries related to the downstream sector of SH Făget – upstream SH Chizătău (Timiş county), Timiş – tributaries related to the downstream sector of SH Caransebeş – upstream SH Lugoj and Pogăniş – upstream basin Ac. Cadar Duboz (Caraş Severin and Timiş counties).
