Bianca Todorescu, born in Feneș, Alba county, registered at CS Unirea Alba Iulia and a 12th grade student at Alba Iulia Sports Program High School, achieved an incredible performance. He won the gold medal at the 2024 European Powerlifting Championship.

The medal was won yesterday, the championship being still ongoing, but the test in her category was on May 7. Athletes from four countries participated. It’s an amazingly good performance, especially considering the body weight, which is 51 kg, and the lifted weight is 91 kg, at the age of 18. Imagine trying to do something like that in the gym, how hard it is, plus there are certain rules and conditions that have to be met,” said Ovidiu Panzan, president of the Romanian Powerlifting Federationfor ziarulunirea.ro.

The coach who led the young woman from Alba to this remarkable performance is also from Alba county.

Between May 7-12, in the Hamm district, in the city of Luxembourg, the European Powerlifting Championship 2024. Several Romanian athletes participated and will participate these days in the sports trials.
