The National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (INHGA) issued, on Wednesday, a yellow flood warning, a warning also valid in Prahova. At the county level, in the mountain area, a yellow code for torrential rain, hail and storms is also in force.
As a result of the forecasted precipitation and propagation, according to the INHGA, there may be significant runoff on slopes, torrents and streams, flash floods on small rivers with possible local flooding effects and increases in flows and levels on some rivers in the mentioned hydrographic basins, with possible exceeding attention quotas.
The yellow flood warning is valid until Thursday, 05/09/2024 at 08:00. The list of hydrographic basins concerned includes Ialomiţa – Pucioasa upstream basin (counties: Dâmboviţa and Prahova), but also Prahova – upper basin, Teleajen – upper basin (Prahova county).
