Two employees of the town hall in the commune of Ștefan cel Mare in Vaslui fell into a septic tank. The mayor of the commune desperately called 112 to announce that the two men had fallen into the septic tank and could be dead.
On Wednesday, two men fell into a septic tank on the side of DN 15D, in the town of Ștefan cel Mare in Vaslui county.
The two city hall employees had been sent to unclog the septic tank. At one point, one of them thought the sorb would be in trouble, so he went into the pit. Because of the toxic gases, the man passed out. The second one tried to save him, but he also fell into the pit, unconscious.
The firemen, the police, the ambulance intervened urgently. One of the victims, an approximately 57-year-old man, was pronounced dead.
The second victim, a 54-year-old man, was taken out in critical condition. Resuscitation maneuvers were applied to him, which were successful, then he was transported to the UPU from the Vaslui County Emergency Hospital.
