The tender for the renovation of the Dramatic Theatre, contested

The tender for the renovation works of the “Fani Tardini” Drama Theater was extended due to an appeal submitted by one of the bidders. The National Council for the Resolution of Appeals rejected it as unfounded, but if the complaints end up in court, the award of the contract will be further delayed.

As you may have learned from the “Viata liberă” newspaper, Galati City Hall launched a tender for the “Integrated renovation of the “Fani Tardini” Drama Theater – execution of works”, a project financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

For the contract with an estimated value of 19,825,095 lei without VAT, with “the lowest price” as the award criterion, two builders submitted bids – Euras SRL and Rovis Lider. According to the data from the public procurement portal, on March 28, 2024, the winner was selected and the result of the procedure communicated.

However, on April 3, 2024, the Euras company disputed this result, asking for its cancellation and requesting that its offer be reevaluated.

The National Council for the Resolution of Appeals rejected his requests as unfounded.

However, against the decision that the Council has pronounced, the unsatisfied tenderer can file a complaint.

Therefore, the auction could be extended if the situation ends up in court.

The fact is that Galati City Hall has no time to waste. It has already launched a procurement for the technical assistance services for the supervision of the execution works at the Dramatic Theatre. The estimated value of the contract is 255,465 lei without VAT, and offers are expected until May 13, 2024.
