Investments of 15 million euros in the commune of Eremitu – Stiri din Mures, Stiri Targu Mures

The municipality of Eremitu continues to implement its investment projects, under the care of the mayor Magyari Peter, who has been leading the destinies of the municipality since 2021. Over time, the investment projects have targeted both the infrastructure part and related issues of water, canal, and last but not least the investments in the educational units within the radius of the Eremitu commune.

“A big investment made at the level of the commune was the asphalting of the Câmpul Cetății locality, namely the DC13 communal road over a length of 5 kilometers. Also, with European funds, the first stage of the sewage system with a treatment plant was built in Eremitu commune. Asphalting works were also done on European roads after the sewerage was introduced.

Another project is currently underway through the “Anghel Saligny” Program, “Extending the road infrastructure improvement through asphalting in the Eremitu commune”, a project that will be completed this year. Another big project that is in the tendering phase is the one related to the domestic sewage system and the expansion of the water supply system in the Câmpul Cetății locality, Eremitu commune. It is the only locality where we still have not solved the problem of water and sewage. Eremitu commune has five localities in its composition, Călugăreni, Câmpu Cetății, Dămieni, Eremitu and Mătrici. This third stage of the sewerage will stretch over a length of 18 kilometers, the value being over 28 million lei. Also in the chapter of completed projects, I mention here the Cultural Home in Câmpul Cetății, the Cultural Home in Mătrici that were rehabilitated and modernized. Also, through the Regional Operational Program, we completed the attic project and rehabilitation of the Secondary School “Dr. Nyulas Ferenc” from Eremitu. In December, we had the reception for the completion of the work on this extremely important project, through which the children were provided with the best training conditions. Last but not least, the School in the town of Mătrici and the Extended Program Kindergarten in the town of Eremitu was renovated, a completely new building, an investment made through FEADR”, Magyari Peter, the mayor of the town of Eremitu, told us.

21 projects

The future sounds as promising as possible if we think about the investment projects currently in various phases, 21 in number whose value amounts to 15 million euros. “On the Environmental Fund Agency (AFM) we have several other projects aimed at the educational units of the Eremitu commune, “Increasing energy efficiency and intelligent energy management in Câmpu Cetății Primary School”, “Increasing energy efficiency and intelligent energy management in Călugăreni Normal Program Kindergarten”, “Increasing energy efficiency and intelligent energy management in Matrici Normal Program Kindergarten, in Eremitu commune”. With these projects, the schools and kindergartens in Eremitu commune will be completely renovated. Also, we are running the project “Equipping with furniture, didactic materials and digital equipment of the pre-university education unit in Eremitu Commune, Mureș County”. We have already purchased the IT part, computers, interactive whiteboards, we just have to bring the furniture. Regarding the road infrastructure, we still have 8 kilometers to asphalt in terms of communal streets. We submitted a project for asphalting in January, and if it is approved for financing, we will solve the asphalt problem in the entire commune. Last but not least, through the GAL Asociaţia Leader Valea Nirajulu we purchased all the equipment necessary for the good communal economy of the commune”, stated the mayor of the Eremitu commune.

On the agenda of the Eremitu City Hall there is also a gym in the Eremitu commune, a collection center through voluntary contribution in the Eremitu commune, the rehabilitation and modernization of a building in the Damieni locality for local public services, construction and equipment of an integrated community center in the Mătrici locality, establishment of a center day care for children at risk in the town of Eremitu, the purchase of electric cars and minibuses for school transport, as well as the improvement of the management capacity of the local public administration in the town of Eremitu through an integrated digital system. The list does not stop here, to the long list of investments is added the construction of an ISU operational point in Eremitu town, the creation of new capacities for the production of electricity from solar sources for self-catering in Eremitu commune, solar panels, digitization – IT equipment and software , the efficiency of the communal household service, the modernization of the street lighting system in the Eremitu commune.

“In this chapter, the first stage has been completed, stages II and III are coming. Here we have signed the financing contracts, only the auction and the start of the works follow, as a result of which the Eremitu commune will benefit from a modern and efficient public lighting system”, said the mayor of the Eremitu commune. These projects with European funding help us a lot, you can’t cope only from taxes and taxes at the commune level. The more investment projects you have, the more you as an administrative unit have to contribute, the co-financing part. For example, for the asphalting project through “Anghel Saligny” we receive 18 million to which we have to give somewhere around 8 million. The same with regard to the channelization, for Campul Cetății where we also have a considerable amount in terms of the co-financing part. I repeat, these fundings help us a lot, but I don’t know how it will be for the next period at the EU level, whether or not there will be money for development. Related to the investments made from the local budget, all the money must be channeled to the co-financing part, which is not at all negligible”, stated Magyari Peter.

Instead of conclusion

“2024 will be a very busy year in terms of investment works. Many of the works are to be completed this year, but we also have works that span several years, such as the sewerage in the Câmpul Cetății locality, where the deadline for completion is July 2026. Together, all these investments that are in various phases of execution, you will he saw that the total amount is 15 million euros, which is not at all small for a commune like Eremitu. If you also take into account that for many projects we also have the co-financing part, somewhere around 115,520,000 lei, you can get an idea of ​​the amounts we allocate for the development of the commune and for raising the standard of living of the inhabitants”, he concluded Hungarians Peter.
