Citizens of Cluj-Napoca, Constanța, Slobozia, Iași, Deva, Sibiu, Timișoara and Ilfov county will be able to obtain birth and death certificates in digital format, but also physically, upon request.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, starting Wednesday, people from these cities will be able to obtain the two types of documents in digital format, upon request.
Thus, the activity of recording life, birth and death events, carried out by the civil status officer, will be carried out in digital format.
“In April, the commissioning of the “Integrated Information System for the Issuance of Civil Status Acts – SIIEASC”, was initiated at the level of all the administrative-territorial units of Ilfov county, through the digital registration of deaths and births and, taking into account in view of the results obtained, on Wednesday, the General Directorate for the Registration of Persons, with the support of the County Directorates of Registration of Persons from the counties of Cluj, Constanţa, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Sibiu and Timiș, as well as the local directorates for the registration of the persons involved, carried out the operationalization SIIEASC at the level of the 7 county seat municipalities.
A new stage regarding the expansion of SIIEASC is expected to take place on May 10, 2024, by including certain administrative-territorial units from the counties of Cluj, Constanța, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Sibiu and Timiș”, the MAI transmits, in a press release.
The commissioning, at the national level, of the IT System will be carried out in stages, to be completed in September 2024.
