Students from Mures, grades over 8.50 at the National English Language Olympiad – Mures News, Targu Mures News

Approximately 600 students and 100 teachers participated in the national stage of the National English Language Olympiad 2024. The event was hosted by the “Decebal” National College in Deva, between April 27 and May 1. 9 students from Mureș county participated and all of them obtained an average above 8.50, 2 students received 100 points for speaking.

“We felt very good together, we talked a lot about books, we went to two big bookstores, through parks and through the forest, we had fun and counted our steps for a whole month.

We also try to assimilate the general feedback received (the descriptions are too forced / you take too many expressions from the books in your stories / the language is too sophisticated / the article is not too convincing / you did not rate the review / the connectors are not suitable).

We tried to accept the consequences of the appeals… bitter pill! It’s really a difficult phenomenon to manage if we keep evaluating everyone according to their strengths, according to how much knowledge we have or don’t have and according to the feeling of the moment. Students will always file mass appeals in exams and competitions, until they trust the evaluators.

Keep your sense of humor, courage, appetite for reading and trust that through everything we live we become wiser and stronger! ” mentioned Prof. Briena Stoica, Alexandru Papiu Ilarian National College from Târgu Mureș.
