Nicolae Davițoiu believes that the Popular Movement Party has real chances to win the elections on June 9, in Jupânești, Albeni, Baia de Fier, Alimpești and Stănești.

In Albeni, the wife of former mayor Ionuț Stan, Andreea Stan, is running. Gabriel Panduru wants the post of mayor of Baia de Fier.
In Alimpești, Alina Coconu aspires to the mayor’s seat, and in Stănești, Gheorghe Gherghe. Nicolae Davițoiu believes that the United Right Alliance can obtain five county councilor mandates, following the June 9 elections. In addition, he states that, in Târgu-Jiu, the ADU candidate for the mayor’s office, Corneliu Răducan Morega, is “formidable”, with chances of winning this summer’s elections.
“USR is also coming with quite strong candidates and in a few localities, such as Matăsari, Slivilești, they also have very good teams, Bâlteni. So, they also have a few localities where they have a chance to change the mayor of that locality. This is also what we propose, because implicitly if all these candidates that I have listed get a good score, the alliance will also have a good enough score in the political vote at the county council that will satisfy us, compared to the two big formations PSD and PNL. We rely on at least 5 mandates of county councilors, if what I said is confirmed, that is, we obtain quite good results in the respective localities. And quite big chances, in my opinion, not least in Târgu-Jiu. Corneliu Răducanu is, however, quite a formidable candidate and, studying the opinion of the citizens, he is, however, one of the candidates who has a fairly good chance for the mayor’s chair”, concluded the PMP leader.
