During the last few days, the police in the Sibiu area intervened in several situations of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a license.
On May 1, in Slimnic, a 49-year-old driver was stopped for control by the policemen of the Şelimbăr Rural Police Department. Breathalyzer testing indicated a level of 0.51 mg/l of pure alcohol in exhaled air, and the man was taken to a medical facility for the collection of biological samples. A criminal case was filed for driving under the influence of alcohol.
On May 7, in Cristian, another similar incident took place, this time involving a 34-year-old driver. Breathalyzer testing indicated a level of 0.86 mg/l of pure alcohol in exhaled air, and the driver was subjected to the collection of biological samples. A criminal case was drawn up for the same offence, driving under the influence of alcohol.
In another intervention, on May 4, in Poplaca, the police stopped for control a car driven by a 25-year-old local. It was found that he does not have the right to drive vehicles on public roads, for which a criminal investigation file was opened for driving without a license.
