Meteorologists issued an immediate yellow code warning of storms and hail for Bihor county on Tuesday afternoon.
The warning is valid for the time interval 17 – 19, during which there will be “frequent electrical discharges, showers that will accumulate over 20…25 l/m2, intensification of the wind, small hail”, specified the specialists of the National Administration of Meteorology.
In this context, the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Crişana sent several tips for Bihor residents:
– The Inspectorate for Emergency Situations “Crişana” recommends citizens not to move near trees, billboards or buildings under construction or that have architectural elements that can be blown away by the wind during the manifestation of these meteorological phenomena.
– At the same time, we recommend the residents to remove the trees or dry branches, secure or remove, as the case may be, construction elements in unstable balance, which during a storm, could fall and cause casualties or material damage.
– To limit the possible damage caused by strong winds, the parking of vehicles will be done in safe areas, at a safe distance from trees or electricity poles.
– Also, to prevent and limit the effects of heavy rains, the Bihor firemen recommend you to clean the ditches and drains, to allow the drainage of rainwater.

On the other hand, ANM has published the forecast for 2 weeks, and in the Crișana region, which also includes Bihor county, rain is also forecast for the following days. “There will be rain over relatively extensive areas starting from the afternoon of May 7 and on May 8 and 9, and intervals with local rain will be possible during the rest of the interval, especially during the afternoons,” state the meteorologists.

ANM has extended, until 8:30 p.m., the warning of storms and hail for several localities in Bihor: Marghita, Beiuș, Buntești, Suplacu de Barcău, Tăuteu, Pietroasa, Finiș, Balc, Chișlaz, Drăgănești, Abram, Remetea, Sălacea, Curățele, Abrămuț, Budureasa, Tărcaia, Căbești, Buduslău, Pocola, Boianu Mare, Viișoara.
