The National Federation of the United Unions of the Romanian Local Police organizes a protest rally in front of the Government of Romania tomorrow, May 8, 2024, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The National Federation of the United Trade Unions of the Local Police Romania, affiliated to the National Trade Union Bloc, informs that it will organize, tomorrow, May 8, 2024, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., a protest rally in front of the Government of Romania. The rally is approved by the Bucharest City Hall.

The National Federation of United Unions of the Local Police Romania requests:
1. Application of the working conditions, provided by the Local Police Law no. 155/2010, for local police officers;
2. Granting the values ​​of the mandatory food standards for local police personnel according to MDPLA Order no. 893/2023, OG No. 26/1994 and HG no. 1474/2009;
3. Granting financial compensation to local police personnel, for work carried out on weekends and public holidays;
4. Modification of the provisions of GEO no. 63/2010, in the sense of replacing the phrase 1 post/1000 inhabitants/ with 1 local police officer/1000 inhabitants.

The National Trade Union Bloc reminds that, at the beginning of December 2023, the National Federation of United Local Police Unions started a public campaign to draw attention to the importance of the existence of local policemen in society. The campaign is called șinoiexistăm !
