Five of the first ten candidates of the United Right Alliance (USR – PMP – Forța Dreptei) for the Cluj-Napoca City Council are women

Adriana Cristian – 1st place

The list of candidates is open from Adriana Cristian, telecommunications engineer with a master’s degree in European Studies and over 14 years of experience as a project, risk and change manager in various companies. For three years, Adriana has been a USR local councilor, with numerous projects for a city of the future and the community. The most important project that is being implemented at Adriana’s initiative is the Addiction Treatment Center, but her activity involved repeatedly supporting the need for administration efficiency, efficient project management, the construction of hospitals and modern, new educational infrastructure.

Alexandra Oană – 3rd place

It is in third position Alexandra Oana (39 years old), teacher with 15 years of experience in both the public and private education systems. Starting from 2020, Alexandra is the group leader of USR Cluj-Napoca local councilors and one of the most active local councilors in the municipality. During her first mandate, Alexandra initiated numerous projects for a better connected, greener and healthier Cluj. The most important initiatives implemented or under implementation include: the construction of the first school in the Bună Ziua neighborhoodextension night public transportthe establishment Hoia-Baciu Natural Area, changing the regulation for financing cultureBut and
increase in school scholarships and the expansion of the Hot Meal program for students from several schools in Cluj.

Mihaela Nia – 6th place

The sixth place is occupied by Mihaela Nia (38 years old), speech therapist teacher, with a master’s degree in clinical psychology, psychological counseling and psychotherapy. Mihaela’s vision for Cluj-Napoca is about people, about empathy, about communication, more about listening than talking. A vision of a city where we can all find ourselves: young and old, entrepreneurs and employees, locals and “newcomers”. Mihaela’s priorities are education, families and children, but also topics related to social inclusion.

Florea Dan – 7th place

In the 7th position we have Floarea Dan, a teacher who dedicates her activity to education and performance in mathematics. Candidate of the United Dreapta United Alliance believes that the time has come for the electoral lists to contain people with professional results, people who finished their studies on time, winners and not corrigents. The dedication in the classroom will also guide his activity in the City Council, from where he will fight for the needs and concerns of young people, so that they do not fall, in a moment of weakness, into the trap of addictions.

Mădălina Corlea – 10th place

On the 10th place we find Mădălina Corlea (28 years old), lawyer and programmer. His priorities for Cluj-Napoca are: building a new maternity hospital, increasing the number of schools, nurseries and kindergartens, reorganizing public transport routes, but also increasing accessibility in the city for people with disabilities, parents with strollers and the elderly.

While there are two women in the first three candidates of the United Right Alliance, on the lists of the other parties there are far fewer women in leading positions: 0 out of 3 for PNL, 1 out of 3 for PSD and AUR.
