The former school in Henig will be modernized and transformed into a chapel and catechesis center. The school building in Henig village, Berghin commune is to be modernized and transformed into a chapel and catechesis center, through an investment of over 1.1 million lei.

Berghin City Hall launched, on April 29, in SEAP, a tender for the modernization and change of purpose of the former school in the village of Henig into a chapel and catechesis center.

The total value is estimated at 1,162,967.86 lei, without VAT.

According to the documentation, the school building in Henig was built in 1951. The building is located on a plot of land of 1,718 square meters, located on Școlii street. The building has the Ground floor height regime, a built area of ​​208 sqm and a useful area of ​​172.7 sqm.

Currently, the building is no longer in use, as there are no longer enough children. Existing students in the locality are transported to the school in the commune by school bus.

The building began to deteriorate due to stormwater as well as disuse. The health regulations in force require the establishment of a mortuary chapel, so the City Hall wants to rehabilitate it and change its destination from a school to a chapel and catechesis center, while also preserving the educational aspect.

Realization of the investment involves the execution of the following categories of works:

• technical rehabilitation of the tire
• modernization of utility facilities
• modernization of interior and exterior finishes
• modernization of interior carpentry
• equipping the building with furniture necessary for a good performance of the proposed activities

Redistricting and Proposed Changes

The building will be separated into two functional areas, one for the chapel and one for the catechesis center.

Thus, the access located on the southwest facade will serve the catechesis center, the northeast will serve the chapel.

The proposed partitions will be made in the hall area, thus functional separation is also achieved.

In the area of ​​the catechesis center, a storage space and a sanitary group configured for people with motor disabilities are proposed, and in the chapel area an office and a sanitary group configured for people with motor disabilities.

The height of the interior space will be 3.5 m in all rooms.

Car access will be made from the road located in the southeast part, perpendicular to Țcolii street, on a car platform with parking – 7 spaces, connected to a network of pedestrian alleys, which lead to the pedestrian alley around the construction, made of tiles concrete on sand bed.
