The water level of the Sărata stream rose following a torrential rain, and a strong flood formed in Vâlcăneşti.

According to ISU Prahova, the flood took three cars, over a distance of about one km. Two of the cars were abandoned, the third being functional.

“A crew from the Plopeni Work Point is on the spot and remains for monitoring (the stream still has an increased level)”, ISU Prahova reported, quoted by the Prahovean Observatory.

Images of the moment the cars were swept away by the flood were captured by a group of locals and published on social media.

“You stay here, you can’t leave here. Look, it’s a car! I’d eat your mouth! It’s in the car, right? Can’t you see he’s waving the wipers?”, says a local.

At the same time, in Vâlcănești, hail fell in very large quantities and destroyed people’s gardens.
