“On May 5, 2024, at 06:00:20 (local time of Romania), a weak earthquake with a magnitude of ml 2.8 occurred in the SEISMIC ZONE VRANCEA, BUZĂU, at a depth of 137.9 km.

The earthquake occurred near the following cities: 53km N of Ploiești, 54km SE of Brașov, 56km NW of Buzău, 60km SE of Sfântu-Gheorghe, 80km NE of Târgoviște, 82km SW of Focșani,” INCDFP reported.
