In the context of the great Christian holiday, Orthodox Easter, the Mureș County Police Inspectorate will mobilize additional forces.
On the night of May 4 to 5, when believers will celebrate the Resurrection, the public order and traffic police will act in all localities where religious services will be held, in order to prevent negative events from occurring and to promptly respond to reports received.
During this period, public order and safety police patrols will be present in the field, and traffic police forces will use radar equipment, in order to prevent excess speed.
Action will be taken on the entire road network in Mureș county, in order to streamline traffic and prevent road accidents, as well as by intensifying specific activities, according to the competences, to detect those who drive at speed, under the influence of alcoholic beverages or prohibited substances, according to the information provided by the Public Relations Department, IPJ Mureș.
For holidays free of unpleasant events, the police from Mures recommend:
Observe the legal speed limit and do not drink alcohol before getting behind the wheel!
Pedestrians should pay more attention and cross only after they are sure they can do so safely.
Protect your personal belongings in places where people may gather in the next period!
Thefts from pockets and bags are committed especially in crowded places. If you are in such places, check your pockets or luggage.
Do not carry your wallet or other valuables in the outer pockets of your clothes, in your bags or in plain view.
When paying for purchases, do not take out the entire amount of money, but only what is necessary for the payment. When paying by card, type the PIN code discreetly, so as not to be noticed by those around you.
Protect your home and car! Burglars can take advantage of your carelessness in home security. An additional interest in the protection of assets will save you from inconvenience.
If you leave home, even for a short time, lock the doors and windows.
Do not announce your departure from home by posting on social media! Preparations for travel must be done as discreetly as possible.
