Young man detected by Bacauan gendarmes while smoking prohibited substances on the shore of a lake

This morning, a crew from the Bacău County Gendarmerie Inspectorate, on a public order mission in the municipality of Bacău, noticed a young man on the shore of the Reservoir Lake who was hesitating at the sight of the law enforcement and who threw something in the water. Considering his attitude, the Bacău gendarmes proceeded to intercept and establish his identity.

As a result of the checks carried out on the spot, the gendarmes found that on the 21-year-old Bacauan, a handmade cigarette was found containing greenish vegetable matter with a pungent smell.

The man admitted that the cigarette found on him belonged to him and contained prohibited substances, being used for his own consumption.

The gendarmes picked up a hand-made cigarette containing prohibited substances for confiscation, which they forwarded to the Bacău Organized Crime Brigade for further investigation, together with the documents prepared.

During the execution of public order and safety missions, the operational forces of the Bacău County Gendarmerie Inspectorate act daily to prevent and combat drug use in the public space, considering the danger posed by the use of psychoactive substances on the health of consumers.

Since the beginning of this year, the Bacău gendarmes have detected five people who were in possession of dangerous drugs for their own consumption.
