The Europe Parade, which will be organized on Saturday, May 11, in Roșiori de Vede, opens this year’s edition of the events dedicated to Teleorman County Day. Also, Peony Day, from Troianul, is also scheduled at the beginning of the events. The program of activities also includes the sale exhibition “Made in Teleorman”, where producers, craftsmen and popular artisans from the county will be present.

The president of the Teleorman County Council, Adrian Gâdea, says that “the program of cultural and artistic events will continue until May 14, with shows and exhibitions”. Also, during the activities, the “Marin Preda” Awards and the County Honorary Citizen Title will be awarded.

On this occasion, we INVITE all citizens of the county to participate in the events devoted to the celebration of Teleorman County Day, during the period May 11-14

The events are organized by the Teleorman County Council, with the support of subordinate institutions, and the performances will be supported by renowned artists, groups of dancers, marching bands and groups of valuable instrumentalists.

The festivities will be opened by the high school students from Teleorman at Roșiorii de Vede, with the artistic competition “Parade of Europe”, organized by the Euro Teleorman Association, on May 11th and at Troianul, with an exceptional show dedicated to the celebration of Peony Day, the National Flower of Romania and Symbol of Teleorman.

The program of cultural and artistic events will continue until May 14, with performances and exhibitions.

As in every edition, the county council will be convened in a solemn meeting, on May 12th, when a special issue of Caligraf magazine, dedicated to the county’s anniversary, will be exhibited.

The “Marin Preda” Awards and the title of Honorary Citizen of the county will be awarded, which are awarded to nationally recognized and appreciated personalities who have made a valuable contribution to increasing the prestige of Teleorman.

Popular Teleorman producers, craftsmen and artisans, promoters of the “Made in Teleorman” concept, will be present, gathered in a diverse and generous sales exhibition.

For the delight of the public, an exhibition of traditional local gastronomy will also be organized, with specialties and surprises, to the delight and satisfaction of visitors.
