As part of the investigations regarding the persons involved in the illegal migration activity on the night of May 1, it was found that a Romanian citizen, a taxi driver, transported the migrants and the three Afghan guides from the municipality of Timișoara to the parking area on the highway A1, Timisoara – Arad.

At the same time, yesterday morning, around 05:00, the same driver took over two of the guides and transported them to the municipality of Timișoara.

The border policemen of the Territorial Service of the Timișoara Border Police, under the coordination of the case prosecutor, are investigating the case in terms of committing crimes of insult and migrant trafficking against a 22-year-old citizen from Afghanistan, the man who took wounded the two border policemen. At the same time, investigations are being carried out regarding the commission of the crime of migrant trafficking for two other men from Afghanistan, aged 22 and 26, and for a Romanian citizen, the taxi driver, aged 43.

All the persons were presented before the Judge of Rights and Freedoms of the Timiș Court, who ordered the measure of preventive arrest for a period of 30 days for the citizens from Afghanistan, and on the name of the Romanian citizen, based on the evidence, the measure of control was ordered judicial for 60 days. Upon completion of the investigations, legal measures will be ordered accordingly.

We remind you, shots were fired and two border guards arrived at the hospital in this case.
