Satu Mare receives the 40 million euros for the modernization of dozens of kilometers of county road

The Satu Mare County Council announces the approval of funding for the modernization of the DJ193 Satu Mare – Borlești-Maramureș. We are talking about 40 kilometers of road for which the authorities will pay over 40 million euros. According to the quoted source, with the execution contract already signed, the actual works will start immediately after the signing of the financing contract.

The financing of the project to modernize the county road DJ 193 Satu Mare-Borlești-border with Maramureș county, 40 km long, announced the Satu Mare County Council. We are talking about a project with a value of over 40 million euros, which will be realized through the Regional Operational Program 2021-2027.

“For the realization of this project, the Satu Mare County Council has already signed the execution contract, and the actual works will start immediately after the signing of the financing contract. The execution period of the works is 24 months”, states the cited source.

The road that will be modernized starts at the exit from the municipality of Satu Mare and the entrance to the town of Păulești and crosses the towns of Păulești, Ambud, Petin, Apateu, Culciu Mic, Culciu Mare, Cărăşeu, Lipău, Valea Vinului, Roșiori, Pomi, Borlești, until the limit with Maramureș county.

Indirect beneficiaries of this project will also be the communes of Homoroade, Bârsău and Crucișor. The modernized road will serve a number of 115,901 inhabitants.

“Through this project we will ensure better accessibility of the areas located in the proximity of the TEN-T network, county road 193 being directly connected to the trans-European transport network through the intersection with DN 19A in the municipality of Satu Mare and connects directly with the county Maramureș where it continues until the intersection with DN1C near Baia Mare”, said Pataki Csaba, president of the Satu Mare County Council.
