It was a special day for the dozens of children who participated in the workshops in Piscu, Ilfov county. In the heart of an old village of potters, the little ones could admire the collection of peasant ceramics and discover the secrets of the old community of craftsmen in the area.

After practicing their creative skills, the children enjoyed the secrets of the journalist profession. One of the hot spots was the breaking news studio of Antenna 3 CNN, where the reporters played pretend in front of the cameras.

“Any interaction is welcome for children, it means new ways of learning, another possibility of collaboration, another opportunity. They are very open, everything that is new and everything that does not belong to the catalog is welcome for them”, says Mariana Banu, director of Secondary School No. 1 Ciolpani.

During the event, there were also cooking, emotion management, knowledge and skills development workshops.

“We are trying to develop different skills through theatrical games, first we get to know each other and the first game you saw is about getting to know each other”, explains Varty Mihail, UNATC PhD student.

The organizers maintained the atmosphere and tried to offer them as much new information as possible.

“We combine the story with the practical experience, a place that is more permissive with children, we have the tactile area, where they can play with clay toys, we have the multimedia room, which again they like very much”, stated Adriana Scripcariu, historian of art and coordinator at the Piscu School Museum-workshop.

The event was dedicated to children between the ages of 8 and 16.
