Sibiu divers from the Sibiu Emergency Situations Inspectorate will receive new suits in the near future, specialized for different interventions.
The announcement comes after the Sibiu County Council completed this month a public auction worth almost 30,000 lei (approximately 5,900 euros) for the purchase of “diving equipment for divers”.
It is about three complete types of equipment, including for diving and snorkeling, the winner being the company Aquatiko SRL from Suceava.
According to ISU Sibiu officials, Sibiu divers currently have three types of suits:
– Four dry types that are used for diving in water with a temperature of less than 10 degrees
– Three wet ones that are used for diving when the water temperature is higher than 10 degrees
– Three shorts that are used for diving in warm water
“These costumes came into use 8 years ago, and the degree of wear is high, they show various damages”, the representatives of ISU Sibiu stated for Turnul Sfatului.
