The passenger ship “Camelia” of the Galati County Council (CJ) will make its debut on the Danube these days, in the organization of the first pleasure walks.
According to a press release of the institution, the first races will be organized even during the mini-holiday on May 1.
More precisely, between May 1 (Wednesday) and May 6 (Monday), the “Camelia” steamboat will make pleasure trips on the Danube according to the following schedule:
10:00-12:00 Navigation Palace Race (Schengen pontoon) – Danube Bridge (round trip)
13:30-15:30 Palatul Navigații race (Schengen pontoon) – Bridge over the Danube (round trip)
17:00-19:00 Palatul Navigației race (Schengen pontoon) – Bridge over the Danube (round trip)
The minimum number of people that can be boarded on the ship will be 10 passengers, and the maximum number allowed will be 30 passengers. The races will only take place if there are at least 10 passengers.
Passenger boarding will begin 20 minutes before each ride. Access to the ship will be based on the travel ticket, which can be purchased when boarding the ship. In case of low visibility (rain, fog) or strong wind, the races will not take place.
The rate is as follows and can be paid in this mini-vacation only in cash: children 0-6 years free; children 6-18 years – 15 lei/person/hour (30 lei for a two-hour race); adults 25 lei/person/hour (50 lei for a two-hour ride).
Access will be through the Schengen pontoon (passenger terminal) in front of the Navigation Palace and the AFDJ headquarters, the passenger ship of the Galati County Council being docked at this pontoon.
