The Week of the Holy Passions begins on Monday, and the Denii services are scheduled daily, at 5:00 p.m., at the Patriarchal Cathedral, reports Agerpres.
According to the Basilica Agency of the Romanian Patriarchate, the other services will take place as follows:
Holy and Great Thursday
– 9.30 – Holy Liturgy
Good and Great Friday
– 8.00 – 11.30 – Vespers with the removal of the Holy Epitaph (between 11.30 and 16.50 the faithful will be able to pass under the Holy Epitaph)
Holy and Great Saturday
– 8.00 – 12.30 – Service of the Hours, Obedience and Vespers combined with the Liturgy of Saint Basil the Great
Resurrection of the Lord – Holy Easter
– 00.00 – Father Patriarch Daniel will offer the Holy Light to the hierarchs, priests and deacons in the porch in front of the Patriarchal Residence, and they will distribute it to the faithful in the specially arranged aisles; the Resurrection service will be celebrated outside the Patriarchal Cathedral, and the Holy Liturgy will be inside
– 12.00 – Service of the Vespers of the Resurrection of the Lord (Second Resurrection) inside the Patriarchal Cathedral
According to the cited source, on Monday and Tuesday of Holy Week (May 6-7), from 9:30 a.m., the Holy Bishop’s Liturgy is scheduled
The Healing Spring – May 10
– 9.30 – 12.30 – Holy Bishop’s Liturgy;
– 12.30 – 13.30 – Small consecration of the water in front of the Baldachin of the Saints;
– after 1:30 p.m. – the distribution of the small Agheasma to the faithful.
