Almost a week after the road accident on B-dul Dorobantilor (intersection with Strada 1 Decembrie 1918), there is only one tram left on the route, the other being in the garage, waiting for the parts needed for repairs. The windshield on the right front and the mask of tram no. 1 “Ana Aslan”, this being currently replaced on the route by a SC Braicar SA bus. According to the legal regulations, the repair will be made on the insurance of the one considered responsible for the accident, but the process is a long one, because the spare parts must be sent from Arad.

We remind you that on Sunday, April 21, around 9:40 a.m., a taxi driver who did not take care when changing the direction of travel caused an accident on Dorobantilor Boulevard. As the police officers of the Road Bureau of IPJ Brăila told us, a 67-year-old man from the municipality, while driving a taxi-type car on Dorobantilor Boulevard, from Strada 1 Decembrie 1918 to Strada G-ral Eremia Grigorescu (Gării ), did not ensure when changing the direction of travel from lane no. 2 on lane no. 3 and was hit by tram no. 1, legally driven by a 48-year-old man, vatman at SC Braicar SA Brăila. Fortunately, only material damage resulted from the road accident. Both the taxi driver and the driver were tested with the breathalyzer, the results were negative. The people involved then went to the Tamponari Counter within the Brăila Road Service, to take legal measures in such cases.
