Surprising revelation, made Friday evening on Facebook, by the controversial Cozmin Gușă, a character known for pro-Russian statements. In a post made on Facebook, he announced that the Oradean priest Ciprian Mega, vehemently criticized for participating in a film festival in Moscow, even met Vladimir Putin!

“Extraordinary event and huge press bomb! Priest Ciprian Mega, received by Putin, this evening, at the Kremlin! Following the public discussions sparked in Russia by the participation of the film “21 rubies” at the BRICS FILM FESTIVAL, the priest-director Ciprian Mega was invited this evening by President Putin to a discussion about the cultural values of Romanian film production, which remind you that was strongly censored in Romania”, wrote Cozmin Gușă.

According to him, the news would have been given to him even by the team of the director priest.

“Those from the Mega priest’s team told me, in a telephone conversation a few minutes ago, that the discussion with “Tsar” Putin focused on the elements in the film that express the values and behaviors typical of Orthodoxy, respectively post-communism, which are common to societies Russian and Romanian. Ciprian Mega will shortly provide more public details about this unexpected but exceptionally interesting meeting. I am extremely happy that the team of Romanian patriots, which includes the producer Laura Mega, but also the great Dorel Vișan, managed to score so strongly in Moscow that Putin himself was curious and happy to meet them. COME ON ROMANIA!”, Gușă wrote on the same Facebook page.

For now, no other details about Mega’s meeting with the Russian dictator have been made public.

Bihor found out that the director priest was invited by Putin personally and attended the meeting alone, which lasted about 20 minutes, under maximum security conditions.

Contacted by the newspaper, Ciprian Mega confirmed the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but refused to make any statement on the matter.

As Bihor he also wrote, the priest from Oradea Ciprian Mega was elected with vehement criticism from the representatives of the Romanian Patriarchate, but also from the civil society, after it was found out that he is participating, together with the actor Dorel Vișan, at the Moscow International Film Festival.

Among other things, the director priest was photographed with the controversial spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova (in main image)which a few days ago accused Romania of having, for political reasons, terminated the cinema rental contract with the Russian Embassy in Bucharest.

Mega’s film, “21 rubies”, was selected among the 9 finalists of the festival. The award ceremony was scheduled for Friday evening.

However, the Oradean’s film did not receive any awards.
