Following the checks carried out, the policemen of the Bacău Road Service identified and fined a 46-year-old man from Blagești commune, who on March 27 this year, was caught driving a van loaded with wooden material and fined 1,485 lei , on the A7 highway in the municipality of Bacău, against the direction of traffic.

At the same time, the police took the additional measure of withholding the driver’s license in order to suspend the exercise of the right to drive on public roads for 120 days, issuing substitute proof without the right to drive.

Drivers are reminded that, “The performance, by the motor vehicle driver, on the highway or on the expressway, of turning or reversing, of driving against the direction of traffic, of driving or crossing from one direction of traffic to the other through prohibited areas, respectively through the median zone or the junctions between the two road sides” contravention is sanctioned with a fine between 1,485 – 3,300 lei, and as a complementary measure, the driver’s license is retained for 120 days and the issuance of the proof without the right to drive.
