Romania really is the country of all possibilities!

Since the circular economy tax was doubled to 160 lei, which sanitation operators, implicitly citizens and municipalities, pay for each ton of garbage deposited in the landfill instead of being recycled, the Bihor authorities are looking for solutions to get rid of this payment.

Ecolect, the association that represents the towns and communes of the county in matters of sanitation, proposed that all the garbage collected in Bihor be mechano-biologically treated because the product thus obtained, an industrial compost, is exempt from the circular economy tax, which would reduce bills.

However, the plan can only be realized with a lot of trouble and expense, because the law requires that this compost be periodically analyzed by an accredited laboratory, which confirms that it is no longer garbage, but soil for filling.

However, there is no such laboratory in Romania! The only chance would be for Bihor to send the compost for analysis abroad, setting a new record, in which not only the citizens “get drunk” from beyond, but also the garbage…
