As of today, access to the territory of the “Saint Lazarus” Cemetery in the capital will be restricted, notes Noi.md.

According to Ludmila Boțan, the director of the Municipal Enterprise “Combinatul servici funerare”, the access of transport to the territory of the “Saint Lazarus” Cemetery will be prohibited on Blajinilor’s Easter, and law enforcement officers will be present at the entrance.

“The police will monitor the situation. There will be several teams of law enforcement officers who will patrol the interior of the cemetery.”

Previously, the City Hall of the capital stated that such a measure, such as limiting the access of cars, was “taken in connection with the execution of sanitation and development works by the profile services of the cemetery territory for the Blajinilor Easter celebration”.

We mention that, being one of the largest cemeteries in Southeast Europe, the “Saint Lazarus” cemetery in Chisinau has an area of ​​approximately 145 hectares.

Access to the cemetery territory is made at the 3 three gates, according to the posted schedule, the infrastructure includes paved access roads, informative panels, water tanks for the needs of visitors, dumpsters for waste including plastic mass waste.

At the same time, from May 10, the access of cars to the territories of the other cemeteries in the city is limited, namely: “Central” Cemetery from A. Mateevici str., 11; The “Catholic” cemetery from Trandafirilor str., 11; The cemetery “St. Trinity” from the road. Muncesti, 46; “Sculeni” Cemetery in Călăraşi Street, 12 b, “St. Ciobanu” from Decembristilor str., 39, Buiucanii Vechi Cemetery from Bisericii str., 16 a, Băcioii Noi Cemetery, Petricani Cemetery and Ciocana Cemetery from Industrială str.

We remind you that on May 12 and 13, Chisinau City Hall will provide citizens with free transportation (bus routes no. 27, “C” and “D) to the “St. Lazar” from Doina str., 189.

The schedule of buses on route “D” will be established from 07:00 until 20:00, and on routes: “C”, no. 19 and no. 27 – according to the approved timetables.

On May 11, 12 and 13, ac, the number of trolleybuses on routes no. 12, no. 25, no. 26, no. 27 and no. 28 will be established as necessary.

On May 12 and 13, 2024, minibus traffic on routes no. 134, 162 and 184 will be established until the “Saint Lazarus” Cemetery (gate III).
