A 25-year-old young woman from Vidra, Vrancea, lost her life following a serious traffic accident that took place on a road in Spain, on Easter night, in Liencres. The car he was in Miruna Cojocariu and his friend crashed into a pole on a square, as reported by the regional daily Diario Montanes.
The accident took place around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, on the road that connects the city of Liencres with the beach of Somocuevas (Piélagos), where, for unclear reasons at the moment, a Fiat 500, driven by a Romanian, left the road, collided violently with a electricity pole and the wall of a house and caught fire.
Following the strong impact, the young woman from Vidra was pulled out of the car by the emergency services that came to the scene but without vital signs. The driver of the car suffered serious injuries and was transported to Valdecilla Hospital, but his life is no longer in danger.
Contacted by our reporters, the mayor of Vidra commune, Silviu Pintilieconfirmed that the young woman who died in Spain is from the locality, being the only child of the family barker.
“The whole community is in a state of shock after learning that the only child of the Cojocariu family lost his life on Easter night on a road in Spain. The young woman had gone with her boyfriend on a mini-vacation to visit Spain a few days before Easter. The death occurred on the very night of the Resurrection. The family has already started the procedures and the parents have sent DNA samples to Spain for recognition, this is the procedure there. After which the coffin with the lifeless body of the young woman will be brought to the country. It is a great loss for the community and we are with the bereaved family in these difficult moments”, declared the mayor of Vidra commune, Silviu Pintilie.
