Former USR member, but now a vehement critic of the Fritz administration, Raul Olajos revealed at PRESSALERT LIVE concrete objectives that he will achieve if he is elected mayor of Timisoara. Among other things, the REPER candidate proposes that public transport be free and that the tax on non-residential properties be reduced to a minimum.

“I propose implementers and not strategies and stories. They come with objectives in our view that are implementable and achievable within a mandate. I propose elements such as one park per year of mandate. If I can’t do it because I have location constraints, I restructure one park at a time. Four parks in four years or complete structural restructuring of the four parks. The instructors tell me they don’t have a range. They need a training ground where they can try, not on the street where they can struggle. I want to make a polygon, a concrete thing, in six months. We can make it available, detail elements, as long as it is in the city’s heritage, we decide how to do it.

You want to stimulate public transport, anyway you subsidize it 90%, make it free! Do it for free because you’re taking money out of the budget for it anyway. If you are still not able to make it more efficient in a low cost ratio, do it for free and try to stimulate the transport”, said Raul Olajos.

“I don’t torment the owners of the premises. You have 5,000 owners of SAD spaces, and you give me the historical maximum with a tax of 1.95%, which anyway goes to the tenants, to me as customers. Do the same as Cluj, I also propose 1%, don’t come and revolutionize. Try to have imagination and relate managerially that it is a Rubik’s cube, if you want, a management is not a facet. You are making all the yellow colors up to this point in vain, because you don’t solve it, one facet is not solved and then another, but it has to be structural, when you reduce an income on one side, you must have the ability to oxygenate the other side. I propose specific elements, there are quite a few, there are no green horses on the walls, it is not difficult for me to talk about concepts, mobility, dynamism, I don’t know which ones, but in reality I plant at best like the previous administration. Beyond that, operational experience is needed. Beyond the legislation, beyond the infusion of money from one side to another or government blockages. These people cannot manage day-to-day departmental activities of subordinates because they have not done this in their lives and those who did don’t really come,” added the REPER candidate.

“I want a dynamic, comfortable and competitive Timisoara. Let me not see it under Cluj, under Oradea or under Iaşi, because I am from Timisoara and I want to be the leader and this is also our cross and our destiny!”, Olajos concluded in one sentence his vision for the city on the Bega.
